The seaside Kaiser Bridge Wine & Gastro Bar is located in the homonymous settlement, 10 km away from Corfu town and 3 km away from the popular tourist resorts of Benitses and Pontikonissi, in a unique location of the island, where Empress Elizabeth (Sissy) had chosen to build her country manor house; the iconic Achilleion palace.
About us
The Location
Situated adjacent to this mansion, which is perhaps Corfu’s most important attraction, Kaiser Bridge Wine and Gastro Bar also carries its own history as one of the first and most famous restaurants on the island, established in 1932, which has been operating for 90 years in a row!
Passed down from generation to generation, our gastro bar adapts to the décor and tastes of its time, always maintaining its traditional character, based on authentic Corftiot recipes in a gourmet expression and solely Greek products and drinks! Its long history is accompanied by loyal locals and foreign visitors from all over the world.

Restaurant's Name
Our grandfather’s inspiration for this name came from the name of the adjacent private arched bridge (Kaisers’ Bridge) that connected the garden of the Achilleion mansion with the sea, passing over the road. The bridge was built by the Kaiser (Emperor of Germany William II), who continued to use the mansion as a country manor house when the palace passed into his possession.
Our Gastronomy
Our unique gastronomy project is based on drink and food pairings, featuring dishes in a gourmet expression and drinks of all different styles. In that way, we give our visitors the chance to build a tasting menu, designed exclusively on their own personal taste!
For our preparations, we choose fine local products and raw materials that bring out the best flavors.
Our cellar boasts a wide selection of indigenous grape wine varities and fresh caft beers. We mix our cocktails using solely local ingredients, including spirits, liqueurs and sodas from all around Greece.
Kaiser's Pier
Our gastro bar is not only seaside it is also onsea; the only one in Greece, as part of its “lounge”, spreads out on a wooden pier, which runs over the sea for several meters, allowing a unique tasting experience!
